You have determined the model of your Winchester. Now you will need to determine if you have a standard or deluxe version. Both Standard and Deluxe versions were produced in all models.
Step 2: Determine the Variation of model types
Select one of the following choices
| The stock is straight with no checkering -- You have the Standard version. | |||||||
| The stock and forearm is checkered. It may be straight or pistol grip -- You have the Deluxe version. | |||||||
| Your gun dissembles by unscrewing the magazine.--You have the Take-down Model. | |||||||
| Your gun is a .44-40 caliber -- You can add 15% to total value. | |||||||
If there are other extra features not
mentioned, and they look original. -- You may have
a factory "extra- option". You may need to consult a professional
appraiser to determine the value of your gun.
