Variations of the Models

You have determined the model of your Winchester.  Now you will need to determine if you have a standard or deluxe version.   Both Standard and Deluxe versions were produced in the second and third models.

Step 2: Determine the Variation of model types

Select one of the following choices

bulletThe stock is straight with no checkering -- You have the Standard version.
bulletThe stock is checkered.  It may be straight or pistol grip -- You have the Fancy version.
bulletYour gun has a saddle ring.--You have the early Carbine or Trappers Carbine
bulletIf there are other extra features not mentioned, and they look original. -- You may have a factory "extra- option".  You may need to consult a professional appraiser to determine the value of your gun.
